Funding Options

Flexible Funding Options for Renewable Energy

At Ecotech Green, we believe renewable energy should be accessible to every business - regardless of budget. That’s why we offer a range of funding solutions designed to make solar PV, battery storage, EV charging and heat pumps affordable from day one. Whether you want to invest upfront, spread the cost, or explore fully funded options, we’ll work with you to find the right approach for your goals.

Capital Expenditure (CapEx)

Paying for your renewable energy system outright is often the simplest and most rewarding route. By using Capital Expenditure (CapEx), you become the full owner of the system from day one - meaning every unit of electricity generated and every tonne of carbon saved is yours to benefit from.

Today’s market conditions make CapEx particularly attractive, with payback periods shorter than ever before. There are also valuable tax incentives available, which can further improve the financial return.

Because there’s no third-party funding involved, the process is straightforward. Projects can be delivered faster, helping your business lock in savings and carbon reductions sooner. While some organisations look to grants, in many cases the savings gained by installing without delay can outweigh the benefit of waiting for funding approval.

At Ecotech Green, CapEx projects are managed with a clear staged payment plan, giving you visibility and control throughout:

  • Initial deposit to start design and order equipment.
  • Progress payments during delivery and installation.
  • Final balance once the system is live and handed over.

If allocating CapEx isn’t right for your business, we also provide flexible Asset Finance options and fully funded Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) - giving you the same benefits without the upfront cost.

Asset Finance - Spread the Cost, Keep the Savings

If allocating CapEx isn’t the right move, Ecotech Green’s Asset Finance option allows you to install solar PV, battery storage, EV charging, or heat pumps without a large upfront cost. Instead, the investment is spread over a fixed term while your system starts reducing energy costs from day one.

Flexible terms

We offer flexible repayment plans - typically 5, 7 or 10 years to match your business needs. Seasonal or variable structures can also be arranged, for example, lower repayments in winter and higher in summer, aligning payments with the times when solar generation (and savings) are strongest.

Cash-positive from the start

In many cases, repayments are less than the savings generated by the system, meaning projects can be cash-positive in the very first year. With heat pumps, you also replace or reduce reliance on traditional heating fuels, further lowering energy costs and carbon output.

Simple, transparent process

We connect you with trusted finance partners and manage the process from start to finish. You’ll receive a clear picture of expected repayments, annual savings, and ROI — so you can make informed decisions with confidence. If you’re considering grants alongside finance, we’ll also help you navigate the eligibility rules.

Long-term benefits

Once the finance term is complete, your business takes full ownership of the system. From there, you continue to benefit from decades of lower energy bills, reduced emissions, and improved sustainability credentials — with no further repayments.

Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) - Zero Upfront Cost

A Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) is the simplest way to access renewable energy with no capital investment. Under a PPA, a funding partner pays for and owns the system - whether that’s solar panels, battery storage, EV chargers, or heat pumps - and your business simply buys the electricity or heat it produces at a rate lower than your current energy supplier.

No upfront cost

With a PPA, there’s no capital outlay. The funding partner covers the full cost of design, installation, and ongoing maintenance. Your business starts saving money from day one while keeping your capital free for other priorities.

Immediate savings

The energy generated on-site is sold to you at a discounted rate, typically well below the grid price. This means instant savings, as well as protection from volatile energy markets.

Fully maintained solution

Because the funding partner owns the system during the PPA term, they’re also responsible for operations, monitoring, and maintenance. You get the benefits of renewables without the responsibility or risk of managing the asset.

Flexible terms and ownership options

PPAs are usually agreed for 10-25 years, with flexible terms available. At the end of the agreement, you’ll often have the option to take ownership of the system at a reduced cost - giving you decades of free, clean energy beyond the initial contract.

Benefits for your business

  • Zero upfront cost - preserve cash flow for other priorities.
  • Guaranteed energy savings from day one.
  • Reduced reliance on the grid and lower exposure to price hikes.
  • Full maintenance included for complete peace of mind.
  • Option to take ownership at the end of the term.

Grants & Support

There are a number of government and regional funding schemes designed to encourage businesses to invest in renewable energy - from solar PV to battery storage, EV charging and heat pumps.

Every scheme has different rules, eligibility criteria, and application processes, which can be difficult to navigate. That’s where we can help.

Reach out to us and we’ll be happy to review what’s available, explain the options clearly, and guide you toward the grants that could apply to your business.

No matter which route you choose, our focus is on helping your business reduce costs, cut carbon and future-proof your energy supply. We’ll guide you through every step - from initial design and funding strategy to installation and long-term support so you can move forward with confidence.
